The 18th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on Indo-China Border Affairs will be held today, wherein the two countries are expected to hold talks on de-escalation of troops on LAC in East Ladakh.
The 18th meeting of the Working Mechanism for consultation and coordination on border matters will be held between India and China today. According to the information, various aspects of the ongoing tension between the two sides on LAC will be discussed in the joint secretary level meeting. In a similar meeting last held on July 24, the two sides had agreed to restore peace in accordance with the bilateral agreement and protocol.
Under this, both countries had agreed to remove the army from the Line of Actual Control to further improve bilateral relations and establish peace. Various aspects of the ongoing tension between the two sides on LAC will be discussed. In the last meeting, peace restoration was agreed to as per bilateral agreement and protocol.
