All India Students Summit 2018:Permission denied to Jignesh Mevani and Umar Khalid’s

The action comes once police denied permission for the ‘All India Students Summit 2018,’ that was scheduled  to be control today.

Police today denied permission to a summit scheduled  to be addressed  by Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani and JNU student leader Umar Khalid and detained students gathered outside a hall here for the event.

A police official said the amount of scholars and activists detained outside the Bhaidas Hall in residential area Vile Parle wasn’t nonetheless on the market.

The action came once police denied permission for the ‘All India Students Summit 2018,’ that was scheduled  to be control these days, within which Mevani and Khalid were invited.

Pune Police had earlier same that that they had received a grievance against Gujarat MLA and Dalit leader Mevani and Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University’s (JNU) student leader Khalid for his or her “provocative” speeches at an occasion in Pune on December 31.

Mevani and Khalid had attended the “Elgar Parishad”, an occasion unionized to commemorate the 2 hundredth day of remembrance of the battle of Bhima-Koregaon, at Shaniwar Wada in Pune.

Violence erupted in Pune district once Dalit teams were celebrating the bicentenary of the Bhima-Koregaon battle within which the forces of nation archipelago Company defeated the Peshwa’s Army.
