American Telugu Association (ATA) Nashville Team hosted Bathukamma Celebrations

On Saturday, October 9th, 02021 in Nashville, Tennessee, the American Telugu Association (ATA) Nashville Team hosted Bathukamma Celebrations (Festival of Flowers).

Prior to the performance of Bathukamma, the ceremony began with customary Vinayaka and Durga prayers. Flowers and other puja materials were placed on the centre stage for Goddess Gauri. All women and girls in colourful and festive sarees and dresses danced as a group around the Bathukammas. Following the Bathukamma dances, the Bathukammas’ Nimajjanam was performed, followed by a wonderful supper.

The event is arranged by the ATA Nashville Women’s team, which is led by ATA President Bhuvanesh Boojala and Madhu Bommineni (President Elect, ATA). Under the direction of Ramakrishna Reddy Ala (Joint Secretary, ATA), the event was organised and performed by an enthusiastic team that included Narender Reddy Nookala, Kishore Guduru, Susheel Chanda, Radhika Reddy, Lavanya Nookala, Manju Likki, Sree Laxmi, Bindu Madhavi, and Sirisha Kesa.

Volunteers, sponsors, and everyone else who helped make the event a huge success were acknowledged by the organisers.
