The seventh edition of the Delhi Police’s ‘Ask Me Anything’ Live Twitter session took place today from 12pm to 12:45pm. Sh. Rajneesh Gupta (IPS), Addl. CP, Special Branch, led this session. He answered all of the people’s questions and concerns about police clearance certificates, passport verification, and character verification reports in detail.
Live Sessions strengthen the police-community relationship by allowing citizens to ask questions in real time, increasing transparency and providing a platform for communication outreach.
The session started with Sh. Rajneesh Gupta (IPS), Addl. CP, Special Branch briefing the netizens on Delhi Police’s digital initiatives for citizen-centric services on Police Clearances and Verification. He informed the public about the various types of verifications carried out by the Special Branch. He explained the police verification procedure, time limit, and document requirements. He also discussed the cost of police verification, renewal, and the validity of character certificates, among other things. He went on to say that police verification is only available to Delhi residents, and that they must apply online.
Netizens inquired about how to apply for Passport Verification, Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) & Character Verification Reports (CVR), changing addresses in passports, renewing passports, and issuing PCC for emigration and private job/employment, among other things.
He ended the session by informing netizens about the Delhi Police website for citizen police verification, and advising them to fill out all police verification information carefully and correctly.
