Nandamuri Balakrishna, MLA, Hindupuram Assembly; Chairman, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Cine Star has celebrated his 61st Birthday amidst children fighting with cancer today at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute premises.
On this occasion, Balakrishna was welcomed by the fans and hospital staff who reached the hospital. Earlier, a wreath was laid at the statues of the late Nandamuri Basavataraka Rama Rao on the hospital premises. Afterwards, fruits, gifts and sweets were distributed to cancer patients and children. On this occasion Balakrishna specifically inquired about their well-being and instructed the staff to address the issue brought to his attention. He then distributed essential goods to the housekeeping and security personnel working in the hospital.
He later told the media that BIACH & RI, set up by his father, was at the helm of many cancer patients. It has been revealed that construction of a hospital in the Amravati region of Andhra Pradesh will begin soon. During the establishment of the hospital, the late Nandamuri Tarakaramarao said that he would strive to establish BIACh & RI as the highest ranking cancer hospital in the country in line with the set goals. On the occasion, he thanked the many donors who have assisted in the establishment and management of the hospital, especially the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
He said that vaccination was crucial in the fight against the corona epidemic, adding that he had already been vaccinated and called on all to be boldly vaccinated. He suggested that Kovid precautions must be followed along with vaccination.
Later, Balakrishna received many donations from various donors to the Cancer Hospital. Among those who made such donations were Sri Sitarama Raju with Rs 1 lakh, Sri Abburi Shekhar with Rs 1 lakh and Balakrishna fans with Rs 2,22,222 collected on behalf of Balayya.com. Along with them, Sri Rudraraju Sri Ramaraju and his family members donated Rs 14.40 lakh for the free meals provided to the patients being treated at the hospital. Along with them, Sri Radhakrishna of Star Foundation, Narsipatnam, Visakhapatnam District handed over three oxygen concentrators to Sri Balakrishna Hospital.
