After the ban on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic, a demand for a ban on the life of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been sought. According to the news agency ANI, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wrote a complaint letter to the Election Commission against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s biopic. Let me tell you that the film named ‘Baghini’, made on the life of Mamta Banerjee, is to be released on May 3. The BJP questioned Mamata when she was targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from this, CPI (M) leaders also met the Election Commission in this regard and appealed to ban the movie trailer. The CPI (M) said that the impact of this film can have an impact on the election. The film’s producer, Nehal Dutt, claims that this is not the biopic but the story of women’s struggle.
Significantly, on April 10, the Election Commission has banned Prime Minister Modi’s release on the life of the film. After this, the Supreme Court had on April 15 asked the Election Commission to look at the biopic of PM Modi starring Vivek Oberoi and decide whether it should be banned or not. The court had told the commission that he would give his reply in a sealed envelope till April 22. The film producer had reached the Supreme Court against the ban on film by the commission.
