As the Covid related deaths are rising, there is a pacocity of existing Crematoriums in the technically advanced city of Bangalore.
There are total of 59 open cremation centers and 13 electric Crematoriums. Under this a total of 7 electric and 17 open cremation centers have been allocated for disposing the Covid related deaths.
It may be noted there are 200 to 250 Covid dead bodies are being disposed at the electric and open Crematoriums in Bangalore on daily basis.
It may be recalled that the Government of Karnataka has recently allocated 250 acres of land for burial and cremate in different locations in Karnataka. It remains to be seen what more measures the Government of Karnataka initiates in addressing the issue.
There are unaccounted death happening is rural areas which are largely remain unreported.
