Facebook agrees to remove Al Jazeera report

Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has said that Al Jazeera’s report on Bangladesh, ‘The Prime Minister’s Men’, has agreed to remove it from its platform.

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications told the media by telephone on Saturday (February 20) evening that he had spoken to Facebook authorities more than once. I also talked to Sabhanaz Rashid Diya, Bangladesh Affairs Officer of Facebook. Facebook officials said they would remove the Al Jazeera report soon.

Earlier, a writ petition was heard in the High Court on February 16 to remove ‘All the Prime Ministers’. There, the court ordered the BTRC to remove ‘All the Prime Minister’s Men’ broadcast on Al Jazeera from all internet media.
