Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated at the United Nations General Assembly that countries who use terrorism as a political tool must understand that they would suffer from the same instrument that they are inflicting on others. The situation in Afghanistan is delicate, and women, children, and minorities in the nation require assistance, according to Prime Minister Modi. “Afghanistan is in a delicate situation. It is critical to prevent Afghanistan from becoming a sanctuary for terrorists. PM Modi stated, “We have a responsibility to the children and women who live there.”
In the current state of Afghanistan, following the Taliban’s takeover on August 15, it was expected that PM Modi would address the matter on a global stage, especially after India labelled Pakistan a “arsonist” country the day before. PM Modi’s references to Afghanistan without mentioning Pakistan or the Taliban establish India’s official stance on Afghanistan, namely that assisting the Afghan people is the country’s top priority at the present.
Several times during his address, he brought up the subject of terrorism. PM Modi elaborated on India’s scientific development, saying that science-based logical thought is the best approach to combat regressive thinking and extremism, which are rapidly becoming a menace to the globe.
