Harish Rao demands State Govt to resolve fertilizer crisis

Hyderabad: BRS MLA T Harish Rao on Saturday demanded state government to take immediate action to resolve the fertilizer crisis and ensure a timely supply to farmers.

On basis of central government data , he pointed out that against a national requirement of 143 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of urea, 183 LMT was available, with 155 LMT already sold.

Similarly, for DAP, 49 LMT was available against a demand of 45 LMT, and for NPK, 97 LMT was available against a requirement of 58 LMT.

He also warned that continued inaction would deepen the agrarian crisis in Telangana.
