In honour of World Music Day, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMHRL), Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad, and Utkarsh Small Finance Bank have collaborated to launch the first-ever musical event of busking under the auspices of “Metro Medley,” the flagship programme of Hyderabad Metro Rail devoted to promoting art and culture.
The Chief Guest, Mr.Jayesh Ranjan, the Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments, GoT, launched ‘Metro Medley’ along with the week-long Music Fest, in presence of Sri KVB Reddy, MD & CEO, L&TMRHL, Ms Amita Desai, Director, Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad and officials from Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank and HMR at Ameerpet Metro Station.
Busking, which is the act of singing and/or playing an instrument in public places, is the format used for the music festival at Hyderabad Metro Rail.
At the Ameerpet Metro Station, Hyderabad Metro Rail’s “Metro Medley” and the busking festival being organised by Goethe Zentrum were both officially launched by Mr.Jayesh Ranjan, the Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments, GoT. Hyderabad Metro Rail is the driving force behind this innovative idea, and I have no doubt that it will further enthral metro users.

Over 100 musicians will be busking at the metro stations throughout the week as part of the Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad-organized event, which will come to a close on June 26 with an all-night concert at Premia Mall. Indian classical music and pop music will both be played, as well as music that will both calm the senses and uplift the spirit.
