Hyderabadi Muslims takes part now not to fill NRC, NPR paperwork

Muslims in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh on Friday pledged no longer to fill bureaucracy for National Population Register and National register of residents (NRC).

Joint Action Committee (JAC), Convener, Mushtaq Malik, against CAA, NPR, NRC, administered the oath after Friday prayers at Mecca Masjid. He said “We are Indians and the Constitution has given us freedom. we will continue to fight to safeguard this freedom. We will not fill NPR and NRC forms at any cost,” he said as he administered the pledge.”

He claimed that 50 to 60 lakh people took the pledge after Friday prayers in mosques throughout Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and in Hyderabad-Karnataka vicinity.

Malik further said “we have to stay united and no one should experience that he is secure because he has the files. such human beings must take a look at Assam wherein in spite of submitting documents, many humans have been saved out of NRC.”
