Journalist sued again in UP for exposing irregularities in ration kit

In all the districts of Uttar Pradesh, 14 days quarantine has been arranged by the administration for the people coming from outside. Under this process, a quarantine center has also been set up in Maholi. After leaving here, the administration provides a ration kit of rice and other essential items to all the people.
According to Ravindra Saxena,a journalist , had received the news of disturbances in the ration received in a quarantine center. After which he made news on his portal by making a video of the negligents happening there. Which has been filed by an accountant of the administration in cases like violation of Harijan Act, disaster management and lockdown.

In his three-minute video, journalist Ravindra says that the state government is constantly saying that better ration should be made available to the quarantined persons, but in Maholi tehsil, other work is being done. The Tehsil administration may be claiming better rations but the truth is far from it. Journalists show the condition of the ration stock.

Ravindra says that when he went to the SDM office in connection with the news, he met Baburam, who was quarantined in Maholi. Baburam had reached there with SDM Shashi Bhushan Rai complaining about the situation. He had moldy rice, which he got from the Quarantine Center. The same news was shown on the local Today-24 portal on May 7 along with videos and bytes.
National Union of Journalist Association (India) President Mr.Ras Bihari said that they condemned the FIR against journalist Saxena and demand the withdrawal of all the charges against him.
