Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will visit Ranchi on Friday to fulfill his promise to support the families of Army personnel killed in the Galwan Valley clashes on the Chinese border.
KCR will hand over Rs 10 lakh cheques to the families of two soldiers, along with his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren. Soren’s official residence in Ranchi will host the event.

On June 15, 2020, KCR announced a donation of Rs 5 crore to the family of Col B. Santosh Babu, who was killed along with 19 other soldiers in a clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh. Santosh Babu was from the Telangana town of Suryapet.
KCR also announced that the state government would give Rs 10 lakh to each of the 19 soldiers’ families who came from different states.
According to the CMO here, the Chief Minister will travel to Jharkhand and provide financial assistance to the families of the two martyred jawans.
Because the model code of conduct is in effect in several states as a result of the ongoing Assembly elections, the Chief Minister will assist families of other Jawans later.
