Media free and vocal in Bangladesh: Vikram Doraiswamy
Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswamy described the media in Bangladesh as vibrant, free, colorful and very vocal.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the reformed media center of the National Press Club on Monday. News UNB.
President of the National Press Club Farida Yasmin, General Secretary Ilias Khan, Joint Secretary Moinul Alam and Treasurer Shahed Chowdhury were present at the occasion.
Noting that the partnership between the two countries is moving forward, the Indian High Commissioner said he was happy to be at the Press Club this important month.
Respecting the story of India-Bangladesh independence and struggle, he said the National Press Club is a place that reflects the spirit of Bangladesh.
Press Club President Farida Yasmin said relations between the two countries are expanding in all directions. Further cooperation between the media of the two neighboring countries has also been emphasized. He also recalled the contribution of the Indian High Commission in the development of the media center of the National Press Club.
