New Delhi: In order to encourage the public to follow suit and celebrate the tricolour in a unique way this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday set “tiranga” as the display photo on his social media accounts ahead of Independence Day.
In his most recent Mann Ki Baat speech, Prime Minister Modi stated that the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” is becoming a widespread movement and he invited people to use the image “Tiranga” as their social media profile photo from August 2 to August 15.
“Today is a unique second of August! Our country is prepared for Har Ghar Tiranga, a nationwide movement to honour our Tricolor, at the same time that we are commemorating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. On this day, the 146th anniversary of Pingali Venkayya’s birth, the prime minister also paid tribute to the designer of the flag.
