Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor recently launched a book ‘Pregnancy Bible’ written by her about the journey of her pregnancy. On July 9, she released her third book, which she referred to as “her third child.” In February of this year, the 40-year-old actress gave birth to her second child. The book is a memoir of her physical and emotional experiences during both pregnancies.
A Christian group has now filed a complaint against the actress, claiming that the title of the book offends them. Ashish Shinde, the president of the Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh, filed a complaint over the book at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed.
Shinde took issue with the title of Kareena and Aditi Singh Bhimjani’s book, “Pregnancy Bible,” which was released by Juggernaut Books. The actress and her co-author are accused of injuring the community’s religious sensibilities, according to the lawsuit.
The actress and the two others have been charged under IPC section 295-A (deliberate and malicious conduct intended to outrage the emotions of any class by insulting its religion or its beliefs).
