Samjhauta Express reaches Delhi late by 5 hours after stopping at Wagah from Pakistan

Railway officials said that the Samjhauta Express was stopped at the Wagah border on Thursday by Pakistani authorities, which reached Delhi station at 8 am on Friday, four and a half hours.

The train, which ran between Indian and Pakistan, came with 117 passengers, including 48 Pakistanis. On Thursday, the passengers were stranded at Wagah on the Pakistani side after authorities from the neighboring country cited security concerns.

The Indian Railways had sent an engine with crew and guards to escort the Indian Railways from Wagah to Attari.
