The youngest state formed 5 years ago, Telangana, has the country’s top job creator and registered 10.5% growth rate which is much higher than the country’s average, Mr. Manoj Mittal, Deputy Managing Director, Small Industries Development Bank of India Addressing as stated in FTCCI “Conclave on MSME Financing – Opportunities and Challenges in Hyderabad today.
The two-day conclave, held today, will feature a series of seminars and panel discussions on financial opportunities for the MSME sector and one-on-one conversations with bankers. The conclave will provide a platform to MSME units, which will negotiate with bankers and financial institutions regarding various financing opportunities for suitable project proposals of MSME units. It will also focus on knowledge dissemination by Conclave bankers and experts on various topics such as financial inclusion, credit ratings, project proposals and financial evaluation and various schemes offered by banks and financial institutions for MSME units.
Welcoming the guest of Mr. Karunendra Jasti, President FTCCI emphasized the need for access to easy finance which is the key to the MSME development story. India’s 5 trillion economy will only be a reality when MSMEs grow.
Several banks like SBI, Andhra Bank, SIDBI, HDFC, Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, Corporate Bank, Axis Bank and Bank of Baroda participated and set up information stalls in the conclave.
The conclave saw the participation of dignitaries from the banking, start up and MSME sectors, among others, Krishna Kumar Maheshwari, president banking, finance, and insurance FTCCI; Madhusudan Hegde Sr. VP, HDFC Bank; Debashish Mishra GM (MSME) SBI Telangana; Ramakant Inani, Senior VP FTCCI.
