PM Modi unveils India’s first vertical lift sea bridge in Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first vertical lift sea bridge in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu on Sunday, alongside the launch of a new train service to Tambaram (Chennai) and a coast guard ship. The Pamban sea bridge enhances rail connectivity between the mainland and Rameswaram Island.

The event saw the attendance of Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Modi, who arrived via plane after visiting Sri Lanka, viewed the Ram Setu from the sky during his flight and virtually witnessed the Surya Tilak of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

In a post on ‘X’,PM saud,”On the way back from Sri Lanka a short while ago, was blessed to have a Darshan of the Ram Setu. And, as a divine coincidence, it happened at the same time as the Surya Tilak was taking place in Ayodhya. Blessed to have the Darshan of both. Prabhu Shri Ram is a uniting force for all of us. May His blessings always remain upon us.”
