Jubilee Hills bypoll: Colour photographs of candidates to be displayed on EVM ballot papers

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India has introduced new feature to make the voting process more transparent. Polling officials completed all arrangements to comply with the Commission’s instructions.

ECI introduced new process, voters in the Jubilee Hills bypoll will see colour photographs of candidates on EVM ballot papers when they vote on November 11.

A total of 58 candidates are in the fray for the Jubilee hills by polls. All candidates’ colour photos will be printed on the EVM ballot papers, with each candidate’s face occupying three-fourths of the photo space for better visibility.

Another new feature introduced by the ECI is an enhanced voter information slip designed to carry the serial number and part number of the voter more prominently.
