Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu Compares Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to Pablo Escobar

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu compared former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar during a White Paper release in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. Naidu compared the situation in Andhra Pradesh to that of drug lord Pablo Escobar, who was arrested in 1976 and became the world’s number one richest drug lord in 1980. He criticized the law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh during Jagan’s tenure and urged the youth not to destroy their families.

Naidu also recalled the murder of YSRCP MLC Ananta Satya Udaya Bhaskar’s driver in 2022 as an example of the law and order situation during the former YSRCP government. He accused the YSRCP of committing “atrocities” against over 300 people from the Scheduled Caste and Schedules Tribes in the state and accused the former Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government of targeting TDP leaders by filing several cases against them, including 17 against him.

Naidu also accused the YSRCP government of stifling the media, with cases being slapped on them and reported, and media personnel being dragged to police stations. He appealed to the youth not to destroy their families and assured that they would control this issue and nip it in the bud.
