CM Revanth Reddy conducts review with Karimnagar party workers

Hyderabad: In view of the upcoming municipal elections, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with Congress party leaders and workers from Karimnagar and called for unity within the organisation to ensure electoral success.

Addressing party representatives, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of mutual respect and coordination among leaders and cadre, stating that internal cooperation would play a key role in strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

He advised Congress candidates contesting the municipal polls to focus on building trust and confidence among voters through direct engagement rather than depending on financial influence during the campaign. He stressed that credibility and public connect would be crucial factors in securing electoral victory.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted the welfare initiatives implemented by his government during the past two years. He referred to schemes such as issuance of ration cards, supply of free rice to eligible beneficiaries, provision of up to 200 units of free electricity, zero-interest loans for women self-help groups, Indiramma housing for economically weaker sections and free bus travel for women in RTC services.

He asked party candidates to effectively communicate these welfare measures to the public and present what he described as the government’s development and welfare record in a transparent manner. He also advised leaders to avoid making misleading claims and instead focus on highlighting the benefits delivered through government programmes.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Congress would perform well in the municipal elections if party workers remained united and focused on public outreach. He urged leaders to conduct disciplined campaigns centred on governance, welfare and development issues. Party sources said similar review meetings are likely to be held in other districts as part of the Congress strategy to strengthen its position in the local body elections.
