Continental Hospitals bring cheer to 12-year-old Neha Sultana by making her a doctor!!

As part of Doctors day celebrations Continental Hospitals Gachibowli fulfilled the long lasting wish of 12 years old 6th class student Miss Neha Sultana by full filling her dream to become Doctor for a good 3 hours at their Hospital in association with Make A Wish foundation.

Doctors Day is celebrated to emphasize the value that doctors hold in our lives and this day is meant to pay them respect for their selfless service. The objective is to acknowledge the contributions of doctors’ humane service to mankind. The First Doctor’s Day was celebrated in India in the year 1991. July 1 happens to be the birth and death anniversary of the most famous physician of India – Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. It is hence a tribute to his contributions to the health domain in the country

Miss Neha Sultana is the eldest child of Mr. Pasha a vegetable vendor from Mahabubabad town in Telanagana. She has a younger brother Irfan and her mother Parveen is a professional cook. While seeing patients in her village and non availability of adequate doctors in her town, Neha Sultana decided to become one to serve the poor and needy in her town. But fate has something for her in store. She was diagnosed with life threatening disease last year. She’s under constant medical supervision and treatment.

Enter Make A Wish Foundation, a global organization which creates life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness who has reached the age of 2 ½ yrs old and is younger than 18 at the time of referral, to fulfill her dream. They associated with Continental Hospital to fulfill Neha Sultana dream.

“Fulfilling someone’s dream is the truest sense of happiness. Every child at the Make the Wish Foundation is a Kid who has a story of his own. Kids who are supposed to be studying and playing happily are unfortunately diagnosed with various kinds of life-threatening diseases. Some of them may live their entire life with these ailments and some know that they won’t live long to see their DREAM COME TRUE” said officials from Make A Wish Foundation

“ We at Continental Hospitals would like to fulfill the dreams of Kids who want to become Doctors on the National Doctors’ Day. By doing this, we want to see the joy of those little faces and reiterate that Humanity can be shown in small actions. We can do small little actions to fulfill the desires and dreams of these underprivileged kids” said Mr. Faisal Siddiqui – CEO – Continental Hospitals
