DCA seizes unauthorized manufacture of Drugs wroth Rs. 2 crore

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Drugs Control Administration (DCA) seized Rs. 2 crore worth unauthorized drugs.

DCA officials raided a pharmaceutical unit Akron Formulations India in Bollaram locality of Sangareddy and found that the unit was manufacturing drugs without any permission.

DCA officials found that the unit was manufacturing ointments and creams, including Asperflex Cream Topical Analgesic Cream, Medpura and different varieties of Ammonium lactate cream and lotions manufactured for Akron Pharma, Fairfield, New Jersey, United States.

DCA officials stated that, Drugs can only be manufactured under a license in compliance with the standards prescribed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Further investigation will be conducted, and action will be taken in accordance with the law against all offenders involved.
