Farmers protest in Karimnagar over urea shortage

Hyderabad: Farmers in Karimnagar demanded the State government to ensure adequate supply of urea. On Tuesday, farmers staged a rasta roko at Nustulapur in Thimmapur mandal.

During the farmers protest, vehicular traffic on Rajiv Rahadari came to a halt for nearly half an hour as farmers sat on the road, raising slogans against the government.

Farmers warned that the agitation would be intensified if the government failed to resolve the shortage immediately. Police reached the spot and persuaded the farmers to withdraw the blockade.
