Former President Donald Trump’s Threat of World War III and Global Controversy

New York: Former President Donald Trump has claimed that there is an imminent risk of World War III and global conflagration from nuclear proliferation, which only he could prevent. He stated that the US is heading into World War III territory due to the power of weapons, including nuclear weapons, and that he hated to update the US atomic arsenal. Trump made this claim during a town hall meeting hosted by Sean Hannity, a conservative Fox News broadcaster, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

To support his claim, Trump quoted Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who said that if he brought him back, the world would not be affected. Trump also mentioned that he knew the weapons better than anyone because he was the one that bought them. He said that the Ukraine War, the Gaza conflict, and the deadly October 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas would have never happened if he had been the president.

Trump and his Democratic Party rival Vice President Kamala Harris are neck and neck in Pennsylvania, with both averaging 47.2%. In 2020, Trump lost the state, which could be crucial to determining the winner this year, by a little over 1%. Both parties are campaigning heavily in Pennsylvania, with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz campaigning 60 kilometers away from Harrisburg in Lancaster and Harris campaigning with President Joe Biden in Pennsylvania.

The presidential elections are scheduled for November 5, but citizens can begin voting on September 16 under early voting programs in some places in Pennsylvania. Trump and Harris are only five days from their debate, and he called the debate host ABC the “worst network” and impugned their fairness. The town hall was a rerun of Trump’s insults against Harris and her policy reversals on drilling for gas using fracking, cutting police budgets, and illegal immigration.
