Delhi: Delhi court has granted permission to BRS leader K Kavitha, who is currently in Enforcement Directorate custody in connection with a money laundering case, to meet her two sons, mother, and other family members. The court passed the order on an application filed by Kavitha’s lawyer, seeking to include seven more names from her family or relations to be allowed to meet her.
The judge, however, noted that six persons were already allowed to meet Kavitha in a previous order and therefore, the additional names could not be included. The lawyer then requested the court to retain only Kavitha’s brother’s name from the previous list and include the seven new names of her close family members. The judge modified the order and allowed Kavitha to meet these family members but maintained the restriction of meeting only two or three persons on a single day. Kavitha was arrested by the ED from her residence in Hyderabad and brought to Delhi for interrogation.
She is the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and a member of the Telangana Legislative Council. The court has sent her to ED custody till March 23rd.
