North Korea has successfully tested missiles from its new 5,000-metric ton multi-purpose destroyer, the ‘Choe Hyon class.’ During the tests, leader Kim Jong-un expressed satisfaction and emphasized the need to enhance the navy’s nuclear capabilities and maritime defense.
According to the Reports,this marks a key advancement in North Korea’s naval modernization, aided by Russian technical support. The destroyer features the Hwasan class cruise missile system and is believed to be capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
Additionally, South Korea’s Ministry of Unification revealed that North Korea is preparing to build a vehicle bridge over the Tumen River, following an agreement with Russia during a summit last June, set for completion by 2026.
