Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao praised party president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s hard work during Telangana movement. He recalled the challenges he faced, including opposition from powerful political forces and skepticism from the public.
Addressing party leaders and elected representatives at Telangana Bhavan, KTR highlighted the sacrifices made by leaders like Konda Lakshman Bapuji and the struggles endured by the party to establish itself as a voice for the people.
KTR mention the sacrifices of 370 students in 1971 and the betrayal by Telangana Praja Samithi leaders who merged with Congress, which left the people disillusioned. “Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership and the grassroots efforts by the BRS reignited the movement, leading to the formation of Telangana in 2014” he added.
He also criticised Congress and BJP, accusing them of misleading the people of Hyderabad with false promises and theatrics.
