Maintain team spirit for good results : CM Chandrababu Naidu

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting with ministers and senior officials at the State Secretariat to assess administrative performance and ongoing development initiatives.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of coordination among departments and asked officials to work with a strong sense of teamwork to ensure effective implementation of government programmes. He also encouraged adoption of best administrative practices to improve governance outcomes and maximise public benefit.

Reviewing the performance of the coalition government over the past 19 months, Naidu said the administration has focused on maintaining a balance between welfare schemes and long-term development projects. He noted that infrastructure and irrigation projects remain key priorities of the government.

Referring to the Polavaram irrigation project, the Chief Minister said the works are progressing steadily and expressed confidence that the project would be completed and made operational before the Godavari Pushkaram scheduled in 2027. He described the project as crucial for irrigation and water security in the state.

Naidu also criticised the previous YSR Congress Party government over its remarks regarding Amaravati, stating that the earlier administration had undermined the interests of farmers who had contributed land for the capital city project. He said the present government remains committed to protecting the interests of those farmers and continuing development of the capital region.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the government’s focus would remain on accelerating development projects while ensuring continuation of welfare programmes. Officials were directed to closely monitor progress of key schemes and maintain accountability in implementation. Further review meetings are expected as part of the government’s ongoing administrative monitoring process.
