Nirmal prepares for municipal polls, Collector assigns election duties to officers

Hyderabad: Preparations for the upcoming municipal elections in Nirmal district gained momentum as the first phase of randomisation of polling personnel was completed on Saturday at the Collectorate conference hall. The process was carried out under the supervision of District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav.

As part of the election preparedness, the District Collector also convened a review meeting with concerned officials to assess arrangements and finalise deployment of staff for polling duties.

During the meeting, officials were informed that sufficient numbers of Presiding Officers, Assistant Presiding Officers and other polling staff have been identified and assigned responsibilities to ensure the election process is conducted in an orderly manner.

The Collector instructed departments to remain fully prepared and maintain coordination to avoid any last-minute issues. She also noted that reserve staff have been kept ready to meet any emergency requirements during the polling process.

Emphasising the importance of systematic planning, Abhilasha Abhinav said the administration has taken all necessary steps to ensure adequate manpower is available throughout the election schedule. She directed officials to strictly follow Election Commission guidelines while discharging their duties.

Officials were also asked to remain alert and ensure that all logistical arrangements are completed well in advance. The Collector reiterated that proper manpower management is essential for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the municipal elections.

Senior district officials and election branch staff attended the meeting.
