Hyderabad: Police busted an interstate online ‘satta’ betting gang and arrested five persons in Chilkalguda Hyderabad and seized cash of Rs 1 lakh and gadgets worth Rs 4 lakh.
The arrested persons are P Sadashivudu, M Yadagiri, Y Karthik, Faizan Khan and T Punnam Chander Goud, all natives of Warangal. The prime suspect and kingpin Rajender is absconding.
Police stated that, Rajender has been clandestinely organising online satta betting from a rented house in Chilkalguda for the past three years. He hired his nephew Sadashivudu and others to help him, offering them good salary.
Based on a tip-off, the gang was arrested.
