Hyderabad: A speeding truck rammed two police vehicles on the road on Saturday night at Shamshabad. In the incident, police head constable was killed while two other policemen are injured. The head constable is identified as D Vijay Kumar and the injured are Yadaiah and E Srinivas.
According to the reports , on Saturday around 9.30 pm Shamshabad police received information about a road accident at Pedda Shahpur.
Following the information, a police team from Shamshabad was sent to the spot to enquire into the incident and regulate the traffic.
The police team reached the spot and was regulating the traffic flow along with the traffic policemen. “Around 10.45 pm, a speeding truck came and rammed two police vehicles.
The injured policemen were taken to a private hospital for treatment while the body of Vijay Kumar was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. A case is registered against the driver of the truck and he is taken into custody.
