Spin would play a key part in the clash against GT says Carl Crowe

In the Tata IPL 2025, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to compete against Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens on Monday. Spin bowling coach Carl Crowe highlighted the need for players to maintain a balanced mental approach during this critical phase of the tournament.

After a close loss to Punjab Kings by 16 runs, he noted, “It is vital that we don’t become overly excited or discouraged by the outcomes. We bowled well, limiting them to 112 runs and dominated until midway through our innings. Consistency in our strategy and a positive mindset are key.”

Crowe acknowledged the significance of spin bowling at Eden Gardens, stating that KKR boasts talented spin bowlers whose performance statistics reflect their hard work. He praised the captain for effectively utilizing them during the tournament.

Additionally, Crowe welcomed the return of Abhishek Nair to the coaching staff, emphasizing his long-standing association with KKR and respect within the team. He believes Nair’s familiarity and rapport with players will be beneficial. The KKR aims to make a strong comeback against Gujarat Titans, relying on their spin bowlers and a determined mindset to secure a positive result.
