TATA IPL 2025: SRH suffered fourth consecutive defeat as GT wins by 7 wicketsT

In a thrilling IPL 2025 match on Sunday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the Gujarat Titans triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets, marking their third consecutive victory, while Hyderabad suffered their fourth straight defeat.

Chasing a target of 153 runs, the Titans had a rocky beginning, losing openers Sai Sudharsan (5) and Jos Buttler (0) early. However, a resilient partnership between captain Shubman Gill (unbeaten 61) and all-rounder Washington Sundar (49) steadied the innings with a 90-run stand for the third wicket.

Gill’s half-century came off 43 balls, including 9 boundaries, while Sundar’s 49 off 29 featured 5 fours and 2 sixes, marking his highest IPL score. After Sundar’s dismissal, Sherfane Rutherford quickly contributed 35 runs off 16 balls, helping the Titans reach their target in just 16.4 overs.

Earlier, Sunrisers, batting first after losing the toss, managed only 152 runs, with Mohammed Siraj excelling with 4 wickets for 17 runs.
