SSC Examinations Begin Smoothly in Hyderabad, Over 74,000 Students Appear

Hyderabad: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations commenced smoothly across Hyderabad on Friday, with authorities putting in place extensive arrangements to ensure the hassle-free conduct of the examinations.

According to officials, the examinations will continue from March 14 to April 16, with a total of 74,371 regular students from 1,433 schools appearing this year. This includes 37,982 boys and 36,389 girls. In addition, about 4,094 private candidates are also taking the examinations.

Extensive administrative arrangements

A total of 362 examination centres have been set up across the district. To ensure smooth conduct, authorities deployed:

  • 362 Chief Superintendents

  • 362 Departmental Officers

  • 14 Flying Squad teams

  • 3,983 invigilators

Officials said special monitoring mechanisms have been introduced to maintain transparency and prevent malpractice.

CCTV monitoring and security measures

More than 284 permanent CCTV cameras have been installed in Chief Superintendent rooms, while temporary cameras were arranged at the remaining centres. Question paper packets are being opened under CCTV surveillance before distribution.

Police personnel have also been deployed at examination centres to maintain law and order and ensure peaceful conduct of the examinations.

Student facilities ensured

Authorities said arrangements have been made to provide basic facilities including drinking water, seating arrangements, toilets, medical assistance and proper ventilation at all centres.

Education officials stated that the focus this year is on ensuring a student-friendly environment while maintaining strict examination protocols.
