Hyderabad: Choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, also known as Jani Master, has been arrested in Goa for sexual assault by a woman who worked with him. The victim, who was 16 years old at the time of the assaults, filed a complaint on September 11 at the Raidurgam police station.
The victim claimed that Jani had been harassing and sexually assaulting her over the past six years since she started working alongside him. She claimed that Basha exploited her during every shoot or whenever the opportunity would arise. The victim has been distanced from party activities by the party after the FIR.
The victim’s complaint was filed in a sealed cover and will be brought to Hyderabad after obtaining a transit warrant.
