Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Anandpur Dham in Madhya Pradesh today to promote India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. He performed darshan and pooja at the Guru Ji Maharaj Temple, expressing joy in welcoming devotees and praying at the sanctified site known for the penance of saints. Celebrating Baisakhi and honoring Shri Guru Maharaj Ji’s birth anniversary, Modi paid tribute to renowned saints such as Shri Swami Advait Anand Ji Maharaj while acknowledging the day’s historical importance. He emphasized India’s rich legacy of sages guiding society, particularly through Advaita philosophy, which advocates unity and perceives the divine in all beings.
PM Modi addressed global issues, identifying division as a source of conflict and advocating for Advaita’s unifying principles as a means of resolution. He recounted a discussion with Padshahi Swami Shri Vichar Purna Anand Ji Maharaj on the teachings of Paramhans Dayal Maharaj Ji, highlighting five principles of meditation at Anandpur Dham that stress selfless service.
Linking the spirit of service to government initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and Ayushman Bharat, he underscored efforts for food security, healthcare, and housing. The Prime Minister highlighted the Jal Jeevan Mission and the establishment of educational institutions as pivotal for uplifting marginalized communities. He reaffirmed commitment to environmental conservation through initiatives like ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, celebrating the dedication of individuals engaged in service while promoting regional development in Madhya Pradesh and Ashok Nagar for enhanced economic growth.
During the recent Ram Navami celebrations, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the development of the “Ram Van Gaman Path,” aimed at enhancing Madhya Pradesh’s unique identity. He reaffirmed India’s aspiration to become a developed nation by 2047, emphasizing the need to preserve ancient culture while embracing modernization. PM Modi pointed out that, unlike many countries that discard their traditions for progress, India must cherish its heritage, which is essential to the nation’s identity and strength. He commended the Anandpur Dham Trust for its significant contributions, expressing hope that its initiatives would bolster the vision of a developed Bharat (Viksit Bharat). The Prime Minister also extended greetings for Baisakhi and the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Maharaj Ji during the event, which was attended by prominent figures such as Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Anandpur Dham serves as a center for spiritual and philanthropic activities over 315 hectares, featuring a modern gaushala housing over 500 cows, agricultural projects, and a charitable hospital located in Sukhpur village. Additionally, it includes schools and Satsang Centers spread across the nation, spotlighting a commitment to social welfare and cultural preservation.
