Commissioner CV Anand inspects Ganesh procession route

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand along with other officials inspected Ganesh procession route from Balapur to Hussainsagar on Wednesday.

CV Anand advised Ganesh idol organisers to be cautious in view of electrocution-related deaths reported in the city.

He said the police and concerned departments had made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the processions in the coming days.

This year  around 25,000 idols are likely to be immersed in Hussainsagar, he added.

Around 29,000 police personnel are going to work on procession bandobast  in three shifts. Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan are there in the inspection.
