Buckle Up! Delhi Police’s Traffic Advisory for Colorful Kanwar Yatra

Delhi:  The Delhi Police has taken proactive measures by issuing a traffic advisory on Sunday to inform the public about the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

The advisory highlights the extensive preparations that have been made for the yatra and cautions about possible traffic congestion at various locations. The annual Kanwar Yatra is set to begin on Monday, the first day of Sawan (Shravan) and will conclude on August 2, with devotees offering holy Ganga water to Lord Shiva. With a significant number of Kanwariyas expected to arrive in Delhi, the police have warned of potential disruptions and congestion in the city. The advisory also mentions that a large number of participants are expected to continue their journey from Delhi to Haryana and Rajasthan, with an estimated 15-20 lakh people taking part in the yatra this year.

In light of these preparations, the Delhi Police has urged the public to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with authorities to ensure a smooth and safe Kanwar Yatra.
