Hyderabad: Five youngsters from Hyderabad drowned in Godavari river while taking on Sunday.
According to reports, the devotees were identified as Rakesh (17), Vinod (18), Madan (18), Ruthvik and Bharath (24) from Chintalbazar in Dilsukhnagar of Hyderabad.
Three families had arrived in Basar to visit the ancient Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devasthanam on the weekend. The five met a watery grave when they were taking the dip at a deep point of the river. The youngsters who were not familiar with swimming ventured into the spot and drowned.
