Hyderabad: Maoists attacked security personnel through IED blast in Mulugu district on Thursday. In the blast, Three security personnel were killed and nearly eight police personnel were injured. The injured were shifted to Warangal and Hyderabad for treatment.
The incident occurred in the forests of Veerabhadrapuram-Perur spread around Karregutta hills in Wazedu-Venkatapuram mandals in the district.
The Maoists after triggering the improvised explosive device when Telangana Greyhounds police were carrying out regular combing operations.
Maoists have recently issued a statement claiming to have planted IEDs all over Karregutta hills and warned the local Adivasis not to climb the hills.
