Mohd Azharuddin Sworn in as Telangana Minister

Hyderabad: Former Indian Cricket Mohd Azharuddin has officially taken the oath of office as a minister in the Telangana government.

The ceremony was conducted by Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other ministers in attendance.

Mohd Azharuddin’s portfolio has not been announced so far and there are reports that he might be offered Home Ministry or Minorities Welfare and Sports Ministry. The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues extended wishes to the former cricketer.
