Kanpur: In the early hours of Saturday, a major incident occurred near Kanpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh as the Sabarmati Express passenger train derailed. The train was on its way to Jhansi when at least 20 coaches derailed. Miraculously, there were no reported casualties, but the rail route has been disrupted due to the derailment.
According to the North Central Railway, the incident was caused by the train striking a boulder. Fortunately, no passengers were injured in this unfortunate event. Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, including fire trucks and ambulances, to ensure the safety of the passengers.
