Senior ( Rtd) IAS officer Chandana Khan inaugurates Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival 2024

Hyderabad : Chandana Khan, IAS & noted painter, inaugurated Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival 2024 edition and Esprimiti 4th edition at Shilparamam, Madhapur on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandana Khan said, “hyderabad City is known as Technological achievement. Hyderabad is the most loveable city for all cultures, artists to express their talents, 350 Bengali artists , including others are ready to express their skills, she added.

Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival, which is an initiative of Bengalis in Hyderabad. In this, we would like to screen “Chalchitra Ekhon”, a recent film made by Sri. Anjan Dutt. Sri Dutt has extensively worked with late Mr. Sen, as an actor. It goes without saying that Sri Dutt is one of the very few people who has cut across generations.

The other films are Whispers of Fire & Water,
Niharika & Once Upon a Time in Calcutta. This tribute not only celebrates the rich heritage of Bengal but also highlights the strong cultural ties that exist between Telangana and West Bengal.

Supran Sen, Secretary General, Film Federation of India; Kishen Rao, IAS; Chandana Khan, IAS & noted painter; Dr. Subir Kuamr Chowdhury, Ex-Director, DRDO; Bauddhayan Mukherji, film director; Partha Pratim Mallik, Founder Director of HBFF & Esprimiti & President of Bengalis in Hyderabad, Santanu Mukherjee, Joint Director of the festival & General Secretary of Bengalis in Hyderabad, Oindrila Basu, Joint Director of HBFF & Esprimiti and others participated in the event.
