Sensex and Nifty set all-time high opening record in early trade


Mumbai: There is slight pressure in the domestic stock market during early trade today. Today’s trade started on a flat level with a symbolic rise. After the market opened, there was also slight buying, due to which the Sensex was once again successful in setting a new record of all-time high. But after a while, due to profit booking, both the Sensex and Nifty indices plunged into the red mark. After the first one hour of trading, the Sensex was trading with a weakness of 0.06 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 0.07 percent.

After the first one hour of trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, the shares of UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries, Shriram Finance, Kotak Mahindra and LT Mindtree were trading with strength ranging from 2.89 percent to 0.82 percent. On the other hand, shares of Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Apollo Hospital and Mahindra & Mahindra were seen trading with a decline of 1.97 percent to 1.24 percent.

So far, active trading was taking place in 2,183 shares in the stock market. Of these, 1,079 shares were trading in the green mark by making profits, while 1,104 shares were trading in the red mark by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 12 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 18 stocks were trading in the red mark under the pressure of selling. While out of the stocks included in the Nifty, 22 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 28 stocks in the red mark.

The BSE Sensex today opened at 78,094.02 points with a marginal gain of 40.50 points, setting a new record of all-time high opening. As soon as the trading started, due to the support of buying, this index jumped more than 150 points to the highest level of 78,188.16 points till now. But after this, due to the pressure of selling, this index dived to the level of 77,945.94 points in the red mark. However, after 10 am, once again the buying force was seen, due to which the condition of this index started improving somewhat. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 78,006.01 points with a decline of 47.51 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty also made a new record of all-time high opening today and started trading with a slight increase of 1.80 points at the level of 23,723.10 points. As soon as the market opened, this index jumped to the level of 23,749.50 points on getting buying support. But after this, it fell due to selling pressure. Due to continuous selling, this index slipped to 23,670.45 points in the red mark. However, after this, due to buying support, some improvement was seen in the condition of this index. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading 17.60 points down at the level of 23,703.70 points.

Earlier on the last trading day on Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 78,053.52 points with a gain of 712.44 points i.e. 0.92 percent. At the same time, Nifty ended Tuesday’s trading at the level of 23,721.30 points, jumping 183.45 points i.e. 0.78 percent.
