Telangana Political Activity Intensifies Ahead of Rajya Sabha Polls

Hyderabad: Political activity in Telangana has gathered pace with the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections drawing closer. Senior leaders of the ruling party are engaged in detailed consultations to finalise candidates for the two seats scheduled to go to polls later this month.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with key members of the state leadership, is expected to hold discussions with the party high command to arrive at a consensus on nominees. With the deadline for filing nominations approaching, deliberations have entered a crucial phase.

Party sources indicate that multiple factors are being considered, including organisational representation, political balance, and strategic positioning ahead of future electoral engagements. Several senior leaders and experienced professionals are reportedly under consideration.

In parallel, the state leadership is also reviewing development initiatives and welfare implementation progress in the run-up to Telangana Formation Day on June 2. Political observers believe the current round of consultations is aimed at strengthening legislative representation while consolidating governance outreach.

Further clarity is expected in the coming days as internal discussions conclude.
