TGCHE issues notices to 30 private engineering colleges

Hyderabad: Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) served notices to 30 private engineering colleges for violating management quota admissions for the academic year 2024-25.

According to officials, some colleges admitted students even before the admission notification was issued and without following the order of merit besides charging exorbitant fees.

During the course of investigation, it was found that a college collected Rs.2 lakh for a seat from a student in advance before issuance of admission notification.

Another significant violation was disregard to merit-based admissions and charging exorbitant fees. Based on the allegations officials issued notices to colleges.
