Air force fighter planes thunder in Tawang area, maneuvers will run for two days

New Delhi : The roar of Indian Air Force fighter jets has been heard since Thursday near the China border in Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh. Fighter jets like Sukhoi-30 and Rafale are challenging China by flying amidst the tense atmosphere created by the skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers on 9 December. This maneuver of the Air Force near the China border in the Northeast will last for 48 hours.

China has been adopting an aggressive stand on the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim in the Northeast for the last few months. In the beginning of this month, many times Chinese drones have tried to fly towards Indian territory. Due to this, Indian Air Force fighter jets have had to sortie 2-3 times in recent weeks to thwart Chinese air intrusions. The scuffle between Indian and Chinese troops on December 9 in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang in the midst of a tense atmosphere since the beginning of this month is also a result of this. The atmosphere has become more tense since the skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, from Thursday, the Indian Air Force has started a show of strength near the China border in the Northeast. In this exercise, Indian fighter jets like Sukhoi-30 and Rafale are thundering in the sky. Almost all the frontline fighter jets of the Air Force are also participating in this exercise. The exercise is aimed at testing its operations and capabilities in the eastern sector. Under the leadership of the Eastern Command of the Air Force, this maneuver of the Air Force is being held at Tezpur, Chhabua, Jorhat and Hashimara airbases in the North-East. All the airmen of the four air force stations have been kept active and on alert.

The Eastern Command of the Air Force monitors the borders of China, Bangladesh and Myanmar adjacent to the Northeast. Fighter jets and helicopters of the Indian Air Force will conduct maneuvers in all the north-eastern states. The roar of Indian fighter jets will be heard till Beijing. In addition to fighter jets, attack helicopters and cargo planes are also participating in this air exercise, so that along with maneuvers, their preparedness for the war situation can also be tested. All the resources of Tezpur, Chhabua, Jorhat and Hashimara airbases will be used in this exercise.

Air Force Wing Commander Ashish Moghe told that this war exercise was planned long before the Indian and Chinese armies came face to face, so this exercise has no relation with the recent skirmish. The exercise, led by the Eastern Air Command, is being conducted at frontline airbases and advanced landing grounds for training of air force crews. He told that not only the preparation of fighter jets will be seen in this, but cargo transportation, mutual communication, speedy and timely action will also be examined. Only then it will be known that how fast we are able to prepare in case of war.
